Go on a Drive-Through Safari
Did you know zebras and elk live right down the road from our luxury cabin rentals? Not only will you enjoy your gorgeous cabin, but you'll also be blown away by the Beavers Bend Safari Park nearby. With over 90 acres of forest in Hochatown, this family-owned drive-through safari park is home to 30 species and over 180 unique animals, including Bison, Zebra, Kangaroos, Elk, Ostrich, Kudu, Deer, Antelopes, Lemurs, and more.
Arrive for your scheduled self-guided tour and take your time following the meandering route through the park, taking in the serenity of the animals that call this forest home. The drive through the park is 1.8 miles and takes about one hour to complete. The landscape of natural terrain, trees, and streams is a gorgeous backdrop to these magnificent creatures. Flash photography is not allowed, but you can take some fantastic shots from inside your car as long as there is no flash and you respect the animals. Afterward, stop by the gift shop for a souvenir to commemorate your visit and some light refreshments from The Coffee Bar to enjoy on the patio.
You may purchase your tickets in the gift shop during regular business hours. However, booking your tickets online beforehand is recommended to secure a spot. The park is open year-round, rain or shine! Some park features may close temporarily during severe weather but will reopen when it is safe. Get Up Close and Personal at the Petting Zoo
Another nearby adventure for animal lovers is the Hochatown Rescue Center and Petting Zoo. This fun spot is conveniently located in the heart of Hochatown on Highway 259, just a hop and a skip from the luxury Bravo cabins available for rent. This petting zoo is a home for rescued, orphaned, and surrendered animals of all kinds, including deer, goats, bunnies, foxes, and even the beloved Pokey, the porcupine! Some of the animals are even available for adoption. Both kids and adults alike will find exploring the zoo and meeting each unique animal an unforgettable and heartwarming experience.
